Home Service
Due to a variety of circumstances, individuals with disabilities may sometimes “fall through the cracks” of traditional funding streams and services. This may be especially true of those with adult-onset disabilities such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or ALS. The goal of the Home Service program is to provide services to these individuals directly in their home communities and help them to lead active and productive lives.
The Home Service program is a joint venture between the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State and the New York State Elks Association. The Elks provide funding and a vehicle for the program so the Home Service Director can travel across our region to provide services.
Services
The Home Service Director helps individuals with disabilities find local services to meet their specific needs. She also provides advocacy, counseling, and follow-up to ensure the needs and rights of the participants are being upheld.
This program is funded through grants from the United Way of Greater Oswego County and the New York State Elks Assocation.
