Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy services help children increase their functional abilities and independence so they can participate more fully in all aspects of life. Therapy services assist to:
- Enhance fine motor skills
- Improve activities of daily living
- Improve sensory integration
Many people with developmental, physical and health-related disabilities can benefit from occupational therapy. Occupational therapists can also evaluate and make recommendations for a variety of adaptive equipment.
Services
We believe in a hands-on approach to therapy. Occupational therapy practitioners work one-to-one with each child. During an initial evaluation, the therapist, child, and family identify goals that can be addressed through occupational therapy. The individualized treatment plan is modified as skills progress.
Children enrolled in our preschool program also receive therapy services in small groups with their peers. Services are integrated into classroom activities, making therapy interactive and fun.
Facilities
Located in our LEED®-certified green building, Enable’s state-of-the-art wellness center is an ideal environment for therapy services. A variety of equipment and resources are available to address the needs of each participant. The adjacent family waiting area features comfortable furniture, play activities, and an outdoor patio.
