Advocacy

Disability rights and awareness have come a long way since Enable was founded in 1948, but there is much work still to be done.  Enable’s Advocacy Committee helps individuals with disabilities and their families stand up for their rights and needs.  Our dedicated group of staff and volunteers meets regularly with representatives of local, state and federal government to push for fair legislation and policies that will benefit both individuals with disabilities and the community as a whole.
