 Developmental Evaluations & Consultation
Enable provides a comprehensive Developmental Evaluation and Consultation Service as requested for Early Intervention, Special Education or Health Care purposes for children with suspected disabilities. All evaluations include a medical and social history, and a parent interview.
Diagnostic Assessments for Children Age Three and Older
Enable uses an Inter-Disciplinary approach utilizing one or more clinicians from the following disciplines:
- Pediatrics
- Neurology
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Language Pathology
- Assistive Technology
- Nutrition
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Audiology
Evaluations usually take place at the offices at 1603 Court Street, Syracuse.
Costs
Payment is accepted from Early Intervention programs, school districts, insurance companies or directly from families. Enable also accepts Medicaid.
Eligibility for Special Education
Enable offers cognitive, speech, physical and occupational therapy evaluations, commissioned by Committees for Pre-School Special Education. Enable professionals also offer supplemental and second opinion assessments for Committees on Special Education.
Early Intervention Evaluations
Core Evaluations
A special education teacher or a licensed psychologist will assess a child along with an occupational, speech or physical therapist.
Physician Supplemental Evaluation
Enable has a pediatric neurologist and a developmental pediatrician who diagnose disabilities in young children.
Supplemental Evaluation
Enable provides Non-Physician Supplemental Evaluations in the following areas:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Assistive Technology
- Nutrition
- Psychology
