Planned Giving
A planned gift to Enable allows you to take action now to support our programs in the future. A wide variety of options exist for donors looking to support Enable through their estate, including gift annuities, bequests, life insurance or stock gifts, charitable trusts, and other strategies. Please contact us to find out more.
Please note that Enable's legal name is United Cerebral Palsy and Handicapped Children's Association of Syracuse, Inc. dba Enable. This is the name that must be used on all planned giving documents.
For an example of planned giving, please click here to read an article on the advantages of making gifts of life insurance. This article was reprinted with permission from the Central New York Community Foundation.
Featured in our Fall Newsletter:The tax year is coming to a close! Did you know there are charitable tax planning opportunities that can help both you and Enable? One such opportunity is the extension of the IRA Charitable Rollover, which allows individuals age 70½ and older to make transfers totaling up to $100,000 per year to a 501(c)(3) charity. This transfer does not count as income for federal income tax purposes, but does count toward your Required Minimum Distribution. Learn more by clicking here. Thank you to Dick Cooney of Custom Wealth Management for this information.
